I believe that it is all in the small details that bring life and magic to my film. I feel that my job is to best manipulate the words and actions of a child without changing a thing about them.
Striving to capture moments that feel natural and real. Organic and unprocessed I feel my film portrays a feeling of real life. Stylized yet identifiable. Visually interesting. I feel a kitchen needs to have a few dirty dishes and a crayon or two in the corner. A real mom is not going to be a skinny perfect model and you will never see a perfectly pressed dress on my six year olds.
Soon after graduating from The ART CENTER COLLEGE OF DESIGN in Pasadena California, I found myself with a reel full of dialog driven performances with children, Directing kids is what I have always gravitated too and have a passion and a patience for. I immediately started working for clients in North America such as AT&T, Mattel, Kraft, Bell, Advil, Disney, Bayer, Sears, Pampers and more. Getting my first break into the industry through PARTNERS FILM in Toronto, I now work for clients from around the world such as Orange Mobile and Fenistil. Believing that reality is so beautifully imperfect, recently I find my work has broadened to more than just children in spots for Bounce and Salvation Army. Winning a gold lion for Alabama Tobacco Free Families.
Growing up in Los Angeles, I reside between LA and Toronto (occasionally making it out to our farm just west of Toronto) along with my husband, two children, and one weimaraner named Blue.
